Do I need to book for the walks?

In most cases, no... just turn up and pay on the day.  Where booking is required, this will be indicated in the walk description.  You can book by calling or e-mailing us direct, or by contacting Manchester Visitor Information Centre. 

What happens if it is raining?

Bring an umbrella just in case!  Our walks will go ahead come rain or shine.  If the weather is very poor, we will try and adapt the walk to spend more time undercover or indoors, but we will not cancel a tour for this reason.

I have a disability, are the walks suitable for me?

Please call or e-mail us to discuss your individual requirements.  We will be happy to try and accommodate any specific needs, and adapt our walks where necessary.  If a particular walk involves a lot of steps or there are other access difficulties, this will be indicated in the walk description. 

Do you offer walks in languages other than English?

Yes, we can offer walks in French, German, Italian and Spanish.  If you would like to arrange a tour in a different language, please contact us to discuss.

What is the difference between a Blue Badge guide and a Green Badge Guide?

Both types of guide are trained to the same high standard and are registered with the Institute of Tour Guiding.  Green Badge guides are qualified to take tours within Manchester, whilst Blue Badge guides cover the whole of the North West region.
